A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Let’s make it clearer.

Everything you need to understand your score.

Which study stream should I select?

Select your current degree’s discipline: Sciences or Arts & Social Sciences. This is not a question about your former school subjects. Ask your institution if your degree’s classification is unclear.

Can MS, MPhil or PhD students apply?

No. Honhaar is an undergraduate scholarship programme. Only students in BS and other undergraduate degrees, including MBBS / BDS, can apply. MS, MPhil and PhD students are not eligible.

Who can apply in 2026?

Punjab-domiciled BS / undergraduate students in selected disciplines. Students in the 1st semester / 1st year (Fall 2026) can apply from public sector universities, public medical and dental colleges, HED colleges and partner federal / private universities. Students in the 2nd semester / year onward can apply from public sector universities, medical and dental colleges and HED colleges only. See every listed institute and discipline.

Is there an age or gender restriction?

The current programme lists no age limit and no gender restriction. Academic requirements and the other eligibility conditions still apply.

What does the scholarship cover?

The programme offers full tuition-fee coverage for selected students. Meeting the minimum academic requirement alone does not guarantee selection.

What is the family income requirement?

Monthly family income must be below Rs. 350,000 for public-sector higher education institutions, or below Rs. 500,000 for partner federal / private higher education institutions (1st semester / 1st year only). An E-Stamp affidavit is required under the published conditions.

Are private and federal universities included?

Only for 1st semester / 1st year students: selected federal and private universities take part in Fall 2026. From the 2nd semester onward, only public sector institutions are eligible. Check with your financial aid office that your institution and discipline are approved.

What should I prepare before applying?

Keep your personal information, academic records and household financial details ready. Confirm the required supporting documents, approved discipline and submission deadline with your institution. This calculator does not submit a scholarship application.

Is the minimum percentage checked against my aggregate?

No. For 1st semester / 1st year students, the listed academic threshold is checked against your Intermediate percentage; your weighted aggregate is a separate merit score. Meeting the threshold does not guarantee a scholarship.

I am in the 2nd semester or later. How is my CGPA checked?

Choose “2nd semester / year onward”, then CGPA or annual exam marks, and the calculator shows your percentage. The requirement is 70% for Sciences and 65% for Arts at public sector universities and HED colleges, and 60% in annual exams for MBBS / BDS. Your university may use its own equivalence, so ask its focal person if you are close to the line.

What if my board uses 1100, 1200 or another total?

Enter the total printed on your own result card. Both total fields are editable, so different boards and officially issued equivalence marks can be used. Do not enter a CGPA, grades or only Part I marks as a complete Intermediate result.

Does “academic threshold met” mean I will receive a scholarship?

No. This tool checks marks only. Approved institution and discipline, intake, domicile, household income, documents and final merit also matter. Confirm the active cycle with the official portal and your institution’s financial aid office.

Does the scholarship pay for hostel or transport?

No. Coverage is for defined tuition fees. Budget separately for accommodation, living expenses, transport and other costs.

Is there an application fee or a paper form?

Applying is free. Complete the online application and upload the required documents; a paper application does not replace online submission.

My domicile certificate is pending. What can I use?

You may submit the receiving slip or another proof of your domicile application issued by the relevant authority.

What if I do not have a registration number yet?

You may use your roll number or other proof of enrolment.

Can I apply while receiving other financial assistance?

Students already receiving financial assistance from another government agency, department or educational institution are not eligible under the listed conditions.

How do I correct a submitted application?

Contact your university or college’s designated focal person. Check your email and application account for status updates and correction instructions.

Are private universities and private colleges treated alike?

No. Selected federal/private universities can participate, but affiliated and private colleges are excluded under the listed conditions. Confirm your institution’s exact category.

Are my marks saved or sent anywhere?

No. Calculation happens in your browser. This tool does not send your marks to a server, save them in browser storage, or require an account. Read the privacy information.
